About Balmaghie Dog Friendly Holidays, Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland
We have three new self-catering holiday lodges at Balmaghie offering excellent facilities including 3 bedrooms (one king-size and two twins), bathroom or shower room, a fully-equipped kitchen and a spacious lounge with TV. Each lodge is sparkling clean and has 6ft high fencing all round to keep your doggies in the large garden areas and there is an 18-acre securely-fenced private woodland for you, your children and your dogs to enjoy exploring together. These woods are for the exclusive use of guests at Balmaghie and you can have sole use of the woods as you padlock the gate when you go in. There are many places to visit nearby, most are dog-friendly too. If you wish to go somewhere you can't take your dog(s), we’ll look after them while you’re away. You can bring as many dogs as you like at no extra charge!

Red Kite Lodge amenities:
- Free parking on site
- Secure 6ft-high panel fencing
- Three bedrooms, one double with shower room and wash-hand basin, one twin with toilet and basin, one further twin
- Fully-equipped kitchen
- Bathroom with shower only
- Large lounge with TV
- Bedding, hangers and towels supplied
- Fully heated
All lodges have sole use of a secure 6ft fenced 18-acre private woodland.

“Our 6-spaniel family have just returned from a week in paradise. Katherine was as lovely as her dog friendly lodge. On arrival we were met by lovely hosts and a spotless clean lodge. Lovely comfort, high quality bedding and everything to make our stay great. Fresh milk, eggs and doggie treats. All very well organised. The woods that are for your sole use is such a magical place. In a week I don't think we walked the same path. The stream was lovely for the doggies to have a paddle. Wild flowers springing up. There is lot's to do and see in the area. Beautiful red kites’ bird station 4 miles away where you watch them feed. Ospreys nesting 3 miles away. And a lovely town 5 miles away with all you need from fresh bread to quality butchers. I can't wait to go back. What a magical find. I can't recommend this place enough.
